I've been so so busy that I haven't been able to start up this blog, until now! I finally decided to just do it =) Unfortunately I wanted to start with my mascara reviews, but...I got the pics and everything ready for about 10 different mascars, and then I lost the list of which pic is which. That's why I will be doing an unexciting review on Bubalina's Vanilla Natural Therapy Lip Balm.
1. The deal:So according to the packaging, it says, "With the natural protection properties of African Shea Butter, this all-day therapy lip balm contains a natural SPF of approximately 18. Great for every day lip protection, the balm nourishes the lips deepy and thorougly, creating a protective seal."
2. The cost:
You can buy it at skin-organics.com, maybe at other places for $11.00 USD. I bought it for $5.00 on Hautelook.com cuz I bought a dress and wanted to just throw in something small with my order.

3. The packaging:
Ok, so the outer packaging that the container comes in is just so cute! It comes in this cute little apricot colored box with a handle on it. The container itself is just super junk. It has these papery labels that were honestly peeling off when I openned the box it came in. I absolutely HATE the container. It is plastic and too deep for how small the opening is at the top. I have a hard time grabbing the product out of it. The container does have a lot of product in it, which gives you a good bang for your buck. I included a picture of the lip balm next to my strawberry rosebud lip balm and my korres guava lip butter.

Ok, so all my praises pretty much end here. This product kind of really sucks. It's hard and even more difficult to grab out of the jar because of the depth of the jar and small-ish opening at the top. I used the balm and it barely moisturizes. I was using it during class today and I swear I had to apply it about every five minutes because my lips would dry out very quickly after application. After a while I gave up and dug into my bag for my rosebud salve. I globbed that stuff all over my lips and did not have to reapply any lip product for the rest of the night. I'm sorry but this product just disappointed me.
5. The verdict: I would give this product a D if I had to grade it. It cost me $5 and for two dollars more I would rather go with the Rosebud Lip Balm because it actually works. Unfortunately, if you buy it at regular price, it costs $11. That sucks...for $9 you could also buy Korres Lip Butter, which seriously is probably one my favorite lip balms I have ever owned. Major props for the whole organic thing, but I believe Korres does too and if you're paying regular prices Korres and Rosebud is cheaper and MUCH better. I'm sorry guys but this is a definite no go =(
I'm so sad that my first real blog had to be a downer one...ugghh I wanted to start with a happy one, oh well maybe my next one will be happy!
Have a great day loves!
