So I haven't done a post in a while, everything's just been so crazy but I really wanted to do one, so much so that I'm posting a quick one from my phone! Although I haven't been posting much, that does not mean my make-up purchasing has gone down...in fact, I think it might have increased a bit, so stay tuned for a haul soon!!
This post is about Korean BB Creams. I always watch Korean shows and they have such nice skin, I was interested in adding Korean things into my skin/make up routine. BB Creams have hit America already and everyone's been raving so I wanted to get in on it a little and check out what everyone's raving about.
I ordered two BB Creams, both off of eBay. One "deluxe" sample size of skin79 hot pink and Skinfood's honey black tea BB. I think the skin79 hot pink only comes in one color (I may be wrong) and I know this skinfood BB comes in only two colors. I purchased the darker of the two. I bought my skin79 for about $5 and my skinfood one for $8.99. Both prices included the shipping from Korea. Both brands have an assortment of creams depending on your skin needs. I know the skin79 hot pink is more for oily skin and the skinfood honey black tea is actually for dry skin. I have combination skin so both creams were decent on my skin.
My thoughts- I love the feel of both creams. The skin 79 is much easier to blend into my skin because of it's thinner texture. It also has no strong scents and feels very light on my skin. However,I like the skinfood one better. The coverage on the skinfood is better but it is hard to blend since it is soooo thick. After I apply it, my skin looks natural, like I'm not wearing make up, but my skin looks smooth and gloat. The tube is only 30 grams, but even if I buy 2, it will only cost me $18 which is still cheAper than buying my foundation or tinted moisturizer from sephora. For now, I am sold on this product. The skinfood bb has more yellow undertones (which works better for me) while skin79 hot pink has more grayish undertones. Surprisingly after I apply the bb's, they sort of transform to match my skin. It may work okay because I'm Asian and fairly light ao I'm not sure how well it would work on darker people. It's also pretty moisturizing and makes my skin feel soft.
My final verdict- go for the skinfood one! I love it!!
Some pics are below (the top bb in both pics is the skin79 hot pink and the bottom bb is the skinfood, I absolutely love the packaging of both!!)
